A Steampunk version of  Dr. McCoys's Medical Scanner constructed from a 97 cent Walmart solar garden light.

Added leather grip and dial. Replaced original led with rainbow color fading led.


Mounted settings dial at the end. Need to hide some of the plastic with wire or screen.


Add series schottky diode to capacitor across RGB fader led, otherwsie the led won't light.


97 cent Walmart garden light used for the prop.


Remove original led, add diode, cap and color fading led. Flexible part values.



Version 2, Got rid of the plastic and used a vacuum tube.
Moved the dial to the side.
